This piece of functionality uses AI to recommend courses using a clustering algorithm.  In short, it uses similarity features to recommend courses to an individual based on their similarity to someone else who has completed learning that this person has not.

Recommending in this way means people get intelligent and refined recommendations which grow over time.

We've added user-generated content to allow your users to share their knowledge. We have also made sure the tools for Administrators to effectively control and moderate  are in place.

We have started with videos (MP4 and .Mov format).  These can be videos that are pre-recorded or you can record directly from a phone.  

You can choose who you wish to make this available to.  You could choose all your users or narrow it down to a more focussed group of Subject Matter Experts. 

If accepted through moderation, all UGC videos will create courses and lessons which are made available to a specific catalogue.  These can be moved around like any other course/lesson within the system.

Adding support for the latest version of Google Analytics for customers on Learn, Perform, and Recruit.

Google Analytics upgrade

We are working on a new identity and login service that will give our customers modern identity management capabilities. Whether you use Single Sign On, or Kallidus manages your identity and login journey, we're working to make this the best journey possible for you.

This development allows for you to use multiple single sign on (SSO) providers.  It will, in 2024, allow you to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) through the use of authentication apps.   

March 2024 update:  We have begun upgrading customers to the new identity provider.  This will accelerate throughout this year.

We are also working on a self service upgrade page to make upgrading easier and more in your control.  This is being tested throughout April with a view to getting this available in May/June.

Suite-wide Identity and Login

This item covers some improvements to the Competency Check functionality in Learn.

April/May 2024:  We are nearing completion on delegation of a check to a specified group.  This means anyone in that group will be able to check a person for their competence.  Thanks for feedback on this.

We're hard at work to bring new absence management and planned time off (PTO) capability to our Sapling HR solution.

This new re-work will make many improvements on the existing behaviours, as well as adding new functionality that is essential to managing people in dynamic organisations!

As part of the updates to the PTO module we are introducing Working Patterns.

A Working Pattern allows you to capture an employees expected working day(s) and number of hours they work each day in the morning and/or afternoon. There is also support for multi-week Working Patterns.

A number of enhancements for Recruit to improve performance and stability. Updates made across the Back Office for Recruiters to improve page load times.

Recruit performance enhancements

We are making a small improvement to the group rules in Learn which should give greater flexibility for customers to create pathways for learning.  

You can assign lessons to users who do not pass a lesson with 100%, by adding them to a specific group.

For example:
"Lee completes their Fire Safety training, but scores 80%. While 80% is a 'Pass', Lee is also enrolled onto a 'Fire Safety extra learning' course so they can have additional learning in this area."

Improving the capabilities for our administrators in Perform, allowing them to be more self-reliant and reducing the need to contact support.

Perform Administration

We've added the ability to assign objectives using rules and groups, and allowing automatic assignment for new users.

This means that you could, for example, assign an objective to the Sales group of 'Make £9.6m in FY 2024'.  This objective would be assigned to all people currently in the sales team and also anyone joining the sales team until the objective due date is met.

A number of improvements to the course upload capability in Learn, to improve performance and stability, and make it easier for administrators to load new content.

March 2024:  We are delighted to add in the ability for you to upload content without the need to create a new course.  We are sure this is a welcome improvement!

A number of enhancements for the Sapling document's feature will allow users to include additional signers, specify signing order, and notify specific stakeholders when a document has fully been executed.

We've also added the capability to use 'review mode' with Learn video content.
