Connecting tools to Kallidus Reporting

We've added a brand-new Global Objectives report to Kallidus Reporting and Analytics. We designed this report to help Perform customers understand how individual objectives align with their organisational goals.

We are planning to make changes to Perform Administration to allow more people to use the administrative and reporting functionality in Perform.  

This extension will focus on giving sub administrators access to certain data without showing all users within the system.  We are also restricting certain core administration functions from these users so they are unable to create new review templates or do branding within the system.

Security model for Perform Administrators

A new skills profile will show learners what skills they need and have to perform in their role, whilst enabling them to take ownership of their own skills gaps; seeing what progress they need to make and discover relevant content. 

We are also exploring how to recommend and surface recommended skills to learners as new skills emerge in your business

There will also be AI supporting you in suggesting which skills might be useful for your profiles

Reporting AI-assisted analysis ✨

In much the same way that Perform administrators can bulk upload objectives, we plan to enable you to upload reviews to groups of individuals.   

Enabling you to target specific reviews at specific groups as an administrator.  Reducing the time it might take managers to assign reviews to their team.  In addition, recurring assignment ensures new joiners get the right review first time.

We have updated SAP BusinessObjects to the most recent version, 4.3, to allow us to continue to fully support customers until all customers adopt Power BI.

AI SMART objectives - this item is already available to customers.  It helps your managers and users to write better objectives based around the SMART format.  Using AI, it helps to ensure objectives are specific and measurable.

You can request this is switched on by raising a ticket with our help desk.

We're introducing a new Sapling admin workflow to facilitate seamless employee role changes. 

The first phase of this workflow will help ensure you update all relevant custom tables and effective dates when a user is promoted/relocated. ​

Future phases of this feature will include document, email, and task assignments as well. ​

We're looking for feedback on the most effective areas to apply optional generative AI to summarize information you or your team members have added to Kallidus products.

Generative AI for summarizing

This piece of functionality uses AI to recommend courses using a clustering algorithm.  In short, it uses similarity features to recommend courses to an individual based on their similarity to someone else who has completed learning that this person has not.

Recommending in this way means people get intelligent and refined recommendations which grow over time.

Cross-product reports

We are working on a new identity and login service that will give our customers modern identity management capabilities. Whether you use Single Sign On, or Kallidus manages your identity and login journey, we're working to make this the best journey possible for you.

This development allows for you to use multiple single sign on (SSO) providers.  It will, in 2024, allow you to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) through the use of authentication apps.   

May 2024 update:  We have received lots of helpful feedback about our new offering.  It is great to hear it is resolving issues for customers.  We are working through your other bits of feedback and starting to work on some improvements to the login flow.

We are also working on a self service upgrade page to make upgrading easier and more in your control.  This is being tested throughout April with a view to getting this available in May/June.

Sharing knowledge

Assess peoples skills and set what skill level is needed for specific roles whilst giving people clear targets of what skills to work on. Central teams will be able to identify skill gaps and define the required level needed for core skills vs additional skills people wish to develop

We have now completed this tranche of work and we welcome your feedback on it.  We have made it possible to fully edit objectives as an administrator.

We have also made it possible for you to close reviews which remain open and also re-open reviews which are fully signed off if needed.

Perform - Administrators can create/edit entries

We've worked hard to deliver a revamped PTO solution for Sapling called Absence Management. 

This re-work makes many improvements on existing behaviours, and it adds new functionality that is essential to managing people in dynamic organisations!

As part of the new Absence Management module, we are introducing Working Patterns.

A Working Pattern allows you to capture an employees expected working day(s) and number of hours they work each day in the morning and/or afternoon. There is also support for multi-week Working Patterns.

Based on your feedback, we've added the ability to turn off automatic generation of Closed Captions for video content in Learn.

We've also added the capability to use 'review mode' with Learn video content.

Video enhancements for Learn

We've seen great adoption of our new Course Promotion tool, and had some really useful feedback. Based on what you've shared, we are adding a number of new features... first up is the ability to target the promoted course to specific groups.

We are making a small improvement to the group rules in Learn which should give greater flexibility for customers to create pathways for learning.  

You can assign lessons to users who do not pass a lesson with 100%, by adding them to a specific group.

For example:
"Lee completes their Fire Safety training, but scores 80%. While 80% is a 'Pass', Lee is also enrolled onto a 'Fire Safety extra learning' course so they can have additional learning in this area."

Add learners to groups using lesson score

Improving our feature-set to make Learn a next-generation learning environment, supporting social and collaborative learning.

We've added user-generated content to allow your users to share their knowledge. We have also made sure the tools for Administrators to effectively control and moderate  are in place.

We have started with videos (MP4 and .Mov format).  These can be videos that are pre-recorded or you can record directly from a phone.  

You can choose who you wish to make this available to.  You could choose all your users or narrow it down to a more focussed group of Subject Matter Experts. 

If accepted through moderation, all UGC videos will create courses and lessons which are made available to a specific catalogue.  These can be moved around like any other course/lesson within the system.

User-generated content in Learn

Enabling administrators to promote a course on your Home page.  This will show the promoted course to all users enabling them to click through to it. You will be able to customise the title and description to suit your use case. 

As an administrator you will be able to promote a course of your choice to your organisation.

We've added the ability to assign objectives using rules and groups, and allowing automatic assignment for new users.

This means that you could, for example, assign an objective to the Sales group of 'Make £9.6m in FY 2024'.  This objective would be assigned to all people currently in the sales team and also anyone joining the sales team until the objective due date is met.

OTS in-app speech translation allows your learners to hear the lesson voiceover in their preferred language, at the touch of a button. This feature will be available for Kallidus OTS responsive player content, and augments the text translation ability. Speech translation will be available in the 29 most commonly requested languages by our learners.

Improved accessibility for the eBooks that accompany Kallidus OTS lessons in our responsive player. Learners with access needs will be able to use screenreaders for both lesson and eBook. These improved eBooks will be rolled out across all our responsive player lessons and will be attached to all UK library lessons as they are upgraded to this player during 2025.
