Reporting on the skills landscape - who has been a assigned skills, profiles with skills and much more

Skills reporting - phase 1

In Learn, the time a User spends learning is tracked by the system. This data can be useful to L&D teams to understand how much time is dedicated to learning, and how efficient their offering is in terms of delivery. In this report, you can see both actual time spent in eLearning and live events, plus estimated durations set at the Lesson level. 

Note that time spent viewing learning while in Review mode, is not tracked.

OTS in-app speech translation allows your learners to hear the lesson voiceover in their preferred language, at the touch of a button. This feature will be available for Kallidus OTS responsive player content, and augments the text translation ability. Speech translation will be available in the 29 most commonly requested languages by our learners.

We are introducing a new course sidebar to OTS courses designed to enhance navigation and progress tracking. This feature will help users to understand their position within the course, navigate easily to different sections, and quickly see how much content remains to complete.

AI-assisted report creation✨

We know sometimes customers want to grant people access to specific reports and information (either on a one-to-one basis, or collectively) but without them having access to the full reporting experience.

These people can be employees, and sometimes might be external people who for some reason need access. How can we enable this, while giving a safe and secure way of customers managing that sharing?

Making a report available to more people

For some time customers have fed back that the timings of batch emails (emails sent by the overnight processes) are frustrating. This item is to find a fix for that.

More control over notifications

Support longer and more complex learning journeys such as onboarding, leadership programmes or apprenticeships. Showing learners a clear path of learning to complete; including milestones and boosting skills at the relevant time

Learning Pathways

Allow learners to add new skills to their skills dashboard and discover new skills for opportunities and other roles

Career skills matching

In Learn, Users or their managers can submit a notification request when they want to attend an event that is either not currently scheduled or doesn’t have a suitable date. This lets Learn administrators know there’s interest in a particular lesson - even if no sessions are currently available.

The Future Event Dates Notification report brings all these requests into one place to help administrators track and respond to this demand. It provides visibility over how many learners are waiting, what they’re waiting for, and how well the current event schedule is meeting demand.

Learners can add extra skills to their dashboard - whether it's something they want to learn or already know. They can even set a target skill level to work towards.

We're introducing a new Sapling admin workflow to facilitate seamless employee role changes. 

The first phase of this workflow will help ensure you update all relevant custom tables and effective dates when a user is promoted/relocated. ​

Future phases of this feature will include document, email, and task assignments as well. ​

Introducing three new question types within the review form:

These question types will enable you to build comparison grids across these criteria.  You will start to be able to identify those individuals who are possible talent risks, consistent performers and stars within your business.  

In addition, you will be able to cross correlate behaviour against performance.  Identifying those individuals who are performing well but at the cost of others through their behaviour can also be shown.

Assess peoples skills and set what skill level is needed for specific roles whilst giving people clear targets of what skills to work on. Central teams will be able to identify skill gaps and define the required level needed for core skills vs additional skills people wish to develop

Learn API Gateway

We will be adding the option to have OTS refresher mode only show the refresher mode dialogue if a user has completed the course in question before.

This will affect any second completion of the course, whether the course is a part of continuous accreditation or not. This option would suit setups where refresher behaviour is desirable but going through the full course on the first completion is desired to be mandatory.

Existing users will not be affected without action as this will be an entirely opt-in behaviour.

Connecting tools to Kallidus Reporting

Enabling organisations to include received feedback within the review form.

This new section will allow you to include feedback from a specific period, enabling the conversation to be focussed on the relevant feedback for an individual.

We are working on enabling individuals to record skills against Development Activities.  

Recording skills will enable both the individual and their manager to work on these skills together.

Reading from your skills taxonomy, your users can really focus in on their development of skills within your organisation.

In Learn, when a user completes a Course, they are invited to give a rating on a simple '1 to 5 stars' scale.

A new skills profile will show learners what skills they need and have to perform in their role, whilst enabling them to take ownership of their own skills gaps; seeing what progress they need to make and discover relevant content. 

We are also exploring how to recommend and surface recommended skills to learners as new skills emerge in your business

A number of improvements to the course upload capability in Learn, to improve performance and stability, and make it easier for administrators to load new content.

March 2024:  We are delighted to add in the ability for you to upload content without the need to create a new course.  We are sure this is a welcome improvement!

A new section within the review form which can be added.  This section enables both the reviewer and reviewee to record actions at the end of the review. 

It also includes generative AI to help suggest actions based on the review outcomes.  

This new functionality supports both managers and reviewees at the most crucial stage of the review, taking stock of the last period and planning actions moving forward.

This extension will focus on giving group administrators access to certain data without showing all users within the system.

Improving permissions within Perform for Group administrators

We are making a small improvement to the group rules in Learn which should give greater flexibility for customers to create pathways for learning.  

You can assign lessons to users who do not pass a lesson with 100%, by adding them to a specific group.

For example:
"Lee completes their Fire Safety training, but scores 80%. While 80% is a 'Pass', Lee is also enrolled onto a 'Fire Safety extra learning' course so they can have additional learning in this area."

Add learners to groups using lesson score

Enabling administrators to promote a course on your Home page.  This will show the promoted course to all users enabling them to click through to it. You will be able to customise the title and description to suit your use case. 

As an administrator you will be able to promote a course of your choice to your organisation.

We have updated SAP BusinessObjects to the most recent version, 4.3, to allow us to continue to fully support customers until all customers adopt Power BI.

AI SMART objectives - this item is already available to customers.  It helps your managers and users to write better objectives based around the SMART format.  Using AI, it helps to ensure objectives are specific and measurable.

You can request this is switched on by raising a ticket with our help desk.

We are, in the next few months, adding a toggle so you can switch this on for your organisation in a self service way.

Extending data access within reports

Previously, reminders could only be sent to individual users within the system, which meant shared email addresses had to be set up as a "user". Now, multiple shared emailed addresses can be entered as recipients directly within the reminder setup.

Improved accessibility for the eBooks that accompany Kallidus OTS lessons in our responsive player. Learners with access needs will be able to use screenreaders for both lesson and eBook. These improved eBooks will be rolled out across all our responsive player lessons and will be attached to all UK library lessons as they are upgraded to this player during 2025.
